Our Lady of Pompeii Church Office

 

 Thanks to the generous donations of many parishioners and the very generous anonymous donor, the closing papers for the house and property at 14470, Hwy 442, Tickfaw, were signed by Fr. Ed Everitt, OP, on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, with the permission of Bishop Robert W. Muench.

The first pledges for the house and property were announced in the January 10, 2010 bulletin. At that time, our thoughts were, "If God wants this to happen, it wil happen."

On May 18th, when the purchase papers were signed, there was only $11,145.00 of the $175,000 purchase price that was not covered by pledges. Of course, $75,000 was pledged by one anonymous donor, but the rest of the $88,855.00 was pledged by parishioners and non-parishioners. God worked His miracle in making this purchase a reality in only four short months, and He's not fininshed yet. Donations of time and materials are still coming forth for the transformation.

There is $7,648.56 still unpledged at this time. God continues to send new donors to help cover the remaining amount. If you feel led by the Holy Spirit to give a donation towards the office, please call the Church Business Office at 985-345-8957. Thank You!
