Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is held in Pompeii Hall at Our Lady of Pompeii for one week each summer, usually in July.
Each summer a different and exciting theme is used by volunteer parishioners to give religious instruction that will enhance the faith of the students registered.

Safe Environment Program for Staff & Volunteers
As volunteers representing Our Lady of Pompeii Church, all new volunteers,
ages 18 & older, are required to go online for training and certification
in the Child Protection Program as all present staff and volunteers have done.
This is a one-time process.
All Vacation Bible School Volunteers Can Use the Link Above to Complete
Your Part of the Child Protection Program.

Please turn in the signed Code of Ethics Page,
completed eApps Application (incomplete applications cannot be processed),
and a copy (the original is kept for your records) of the printed Safe in Place certificate.
When the applications are turned in, they are submitted for a background check
through the national processing database used by the Diocese of Baton Rouge.
This is a different process than what is used by
public schools and police departments in the area.
