PSR classes reinforce and add to the faith foundation taught by the parents in the home. 

There is a small registration fee to attend. However, no child is ever turned away from religious education because of financial hardship. 

Religious Education classes provided for students in second grade prepare them to receive the Sacraments of Initiation: First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. 

Students in the 9th and 10th grades are prepared for Confirmation. They are also in the Youth Ministry.

Confirmation instruction for students in 11th grade is given at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. There, the Bishop confirms students from both church communities at one celebration.

Please turn in the signed Code of Ethics Page, completed eApps Application
(incomplete applications cannot be processed),
and a copy (you keep the original for your records) of the printed Safe in Place certificate.

When the applications are turned in, they are submitted for a background check through the national processing database used by the Diocese of Baton Rouge. This is a different process than what is used by Public Schools and Police Departments in the area.
This is a one-time process at no cost to you.
